Heumann

Evelyn & Erhard Heumann are a Swiss/German couple who, in 1995, took over the lease of a 40 year old vineyard in Villány. They have a real passion for producing the very finest single variety and blended wines with a real eye for quality rather than volume. Jancis Robinson has rated their Cabernet Franc 2007 an impressive 17/20.

We're delighted to report that the Heumann's have been awarded a Gold and a Silver medal in the 2011 DWWA (Decanter World Wine Awards) for their 2008 Cabernet Franc and also their 2008 Kekfrankos produced as part of an exciting joint venture called U&I with renowned winemaker Zoltan Heimann. We hope to secure some samples and a few supplies of the small amounts produced soon!
